I know this is an older post, hopefully you see this response ;)!

I used them for my first book, gave away 20 copies and received 3 reviews. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Now there are other sites that offer a similar service, StoryOrigin is the newest, I believe. Booksprout has been around awhile.

Authors seek a return on investment, and reviews are worth their weight especially for new authors. I always say the reviews don't have to be essays, and even a rating on a site goes a long way.

That being said, I am going to try VRO again for my newest book. Fingers crossed.
